Testing another version of the "Request customer satisfaction rating" automation

Answered

Posted Mar 30, 2022

I'm trying to test a different version of the default "Request customer satisfaction rating" automation but can't get it to fire. I've moved the new version ahead of the default automation and set conditions specific to test tickets I've submitted but the default automation still fires. Is there something special about the default automation that takes precedence? Also, is there a way to reset the "offered to requester" satisfaction value so I can retest the same ticket?

Thanks,

Phil

There is nothing special about the default satisfaction rating. It does not have special precedent and just operates the same as other automations.

Unfortunately, you cannot reset the 'offered to requester' satisfaction flag.

It sounds like you new automation is just not matching the sample ticket.

You can deactivate the default automation. That may help test your new version. If the automation does not fire, remove the conditions one by one until you get a hit.

If you do not want to deactivate the automation on your live instance, it may be better to use the sandbox for testing if your account has access to that.

Thank you for the quick response. We don't have access to the sandbox so I'll temporarily deactivate the default automation.

My issue turned out to be because of a condition I had set where the value was a specific requestor, I changed the condition to be the requestor's Organization and it worked.

Thanks,

Phil
