    Hi everyone, quick update... we added new custom field types to trigger conditions and actions! This means we currently support:

    • Single line text
    • Paragraph text
    • Number
    • Dropdown
    • Checkbox (new)
    • Multi select (new)
    • Date and date time (new)
    • URL (new)

    Would be great to have a trigger when a sales contact gets created that it also creates a Zendesk Support User

    I would like to be able to use custom fields in the conditions and actions as well.

    Thank you for sharing Alex Vargas. Why would you like to create a Zendesk Support User after a Contact is created in Sell? What would this Zendesk Support User be used for?

    Thank you for kind words Marc Diepeveen. Custom fields are actually on top of our list and we're actively working on releasing them. Once that happens I'll update this thread.

    Will they be adding Trigger Events so we can automatically update Subscriptions+Changes for Renewals etc? Roadmap 2022? Would love to see this asap, if not, do you know of Marketplace Apps that are filling this function?

    I have a field for estimated close date and another for estimated project start date. These fields are huge aids in forecasting recognized revenue in our SaaS/Services company. I would like to trigger a must-update of the Estimated Project Start date when the Estimated Close Date is changed. Providing this as a specific use case to contribute to the asks above.

    In addition, similar to Lewis above, we need to trigger an automated email sequence to contacts x days before a software renewal based upon the renewal date. Not the right forum but we really need multiple subscriptions per contact as they can buy more than one software product.

    Lewis Gyde we are planning to include Subscriptions in Triggers, but I'm afraid not in the 2022. First we want to focus on Deals, Contacts, Leads (standard + custom fields for all of them), then Tasks, Notes, Emails and Calls. Once that's done we'll move into things like Collaborators, Appointments, Subscriptions, etc., until you can automate most of the objects and activities in Sell.  

    To see if we have an app that solves for your use case could you be more specific? For example by sharing a short use case story that describes your process and needs.

    Jason Hurlbut thank you for sharing the specific use cases. How should the Estimated Project Start date change when Estimated Close Date is changed? Is it by some fixed value, value relative to the change or different? 

    The sequence use case is clear. As for the multiple subscriptions I shared this feedback with the PM behind Sell Subscriptions.

    I'd also love to see the ability to create users in Zendesk Support with triggers from sell. My company has separate customer and technical support teams. CS will be using Sell while TS uses support. So it would be nice that when a client is won on the CS side, it would push that client info into Support so tickets can be made/handled by the TS team.

    Right now the available fields and actions for triggers are far too restrictive. Can't wait till custom fields can be used, and more actions become available.

    Hi Massimiliano Meroni, we are continuously working on extending triggers capabilities and this includes time-based automations. Our next release will introduce Deal Score, Win likelihood and Distributions to triggers, which will be followed-up with custom fields.

    Can you give me an example of what you would like to achieve in Sales Triggers so that we can take it into consideration when planning our roadmap?

    Hi Owner, yes! Custom fields will be added to Triggers within the next 3-6 weeks in the following batches:

    • Batch 1: String, List, Number custom fields
    • Batch 2: Date, Text, Multi-select list, Checkbox, URL custom fields
    • Batch 3: Email, Phone, Address custom fields

    Hi Owner, FYI Jakub Konik will be back after 16th Sep. In the meantime, I've learned from the team that we could turn on Batch 1 (String, List, Number custom fields) for you some time next week.

    Would you like us to enable these custom fields for you the moment they are pre-released?

    Is there a plan to add triggers to Contacts, not just leads? It would be great if a Visit or Call could be a trigger so the representative can follow up with the outreach.

    Hi Owner, batch 1 will be released late this or early next week. Batch 2 is still a few weeks away as the amount of testing and hardening the final solution exceeded our estimates.

    It would be great to be able to set up a trigger for when a deal stage is moved to 'close - won' -> the contact customer status is automatically updated to 'customer.'

    Hello!

    Great to see triggers to automate more steps.

    What would help our flow would be:

    • Automatic action: adding a note with tagging another user (owner change doesn't do it for our use case)
    • include leads into the workflows
    • include sequences into the automatic actions (e.g. stop sequence when a lead/contact calls, start sequence according to stage change + specific owner etc.)
    • re-send e-mail if not read after X amount of days
    • add task or note to lead/contact/deal owner if missed call 

    Looking forward to seeing this feature develop!

    I appreciate the updated deal triggers however we're still extremely limited in what we need.

    We need to automate the movement of deals through deal stages based on time. For example, we handle renewal flows in Sell and based on how close we are to the customer's renewal date, the stage of that deal should change to reflect where the deal is in it's lifecycle.

    In hubspot i could handle this with a standard workflow: If date in {{date field}} is less than 90 days from now, move deal to new stage.

    I can't achieve this right now because the triggers are only based on if a deal is updated. Not all of our deals get updated daily or even weekly but automated actions still need to occur.

    Is there a plan to integrate Leads / Companies / Contacts as a Trigger? 

    We have to create for example automated follow up tasks when Leads get converted into Contacts or when Contacts get classified in a custom field....

    at the moment the limitation to deals is massive.

    I would like to see Sequence triggers added. If I change the stage of a deal to "sent a quote" I'd like for that deal to automatically enrolled in a sequence that I have set up to send automatic follow-up emails.

    A trigger to enable the contact owner to be updated to the deal owner. Part way through our sales process we need to change the deal owner to a role with limited permissions. It would be useful if we could trigger the contact owner to change at the same time. We are currently doing this manually.

    Hihi, would like to request for the following Sales trigger actions: Adding of collaborator and sending out emails with information pulled from Deals.

    This is because there are certain deals that require follow up action from other teams and having an automated email sent with relevant information from the deals would increase efficiency and reduce human error from copy and pasting.
