General feedback on Explore
Posted Apr 15, 2022
I just wanted to take time out of my busy day to share feedback on the Explore product. Finally had an opportunity to "explore" it, no pun intended.
Trying to get analytics on our top ticket creators as well as the top locations from where tickets are being created (using our custom tags).
The past Zendesk Insights functionality gave us these metrics directly in the dashboard. With Explore, I have to build a custom dashboard/query to get this info and I'm really struggling. Never have I seen such a poorly designed, unintuitive interface. As an example, I added a custom metric filter to the dashboard, then a window next to it pops up with "Choose a metric filter dataset" prompt, nothing to select/choose underneath it, and a "Close" button at the bottom. Is this a joke, or am I missing something obvious here?
Regardless, let's just take a step back. Why doesn't Zendesk include this basic data in the "default" dashboard?
How Zendesk can take a perfectly working analytics product, scrap it, and replace it with this horrific product is beyond comprehensible.
