Text wrapping and image alignment for images in Knowledge Base articles?

Posted Dec 13, 2022

I see that images in content blocks can now be aligned and formatted with text wrapping; is there a reason that this isn't available in the ZenDesk Guide articles editor? I can apply styling to the images in the raw code and have it function in the editor, but when I publish the article, this styling disappears.

In article editor:

In published format:

I found this Community Post that seems to be talking about a similar issue from a couple months ago, but according to the post, this was resolved.

Any help with this would be appreciated! :)

Hi Renée Meloche

Currently, the article editor is based on an older technology than the content block editor which results in a different experience for the users. In 2023 we'll be working on upgrading it so that we'll be able to provide the same tools for content creation everywhere.

Ps. the post you linked was about a different issue where the text didn't stay within the article editor but run long "behind" the article settings.

Thanks Katarzyna for clarifying, I hope to see that new feature in the article editor soon :)

Hi there,

I'm new to ZenDesk and also have a similar query around being able to wrap/align images and text from within the article content editor.

Has the feature referred to above been released at all that I can make use of?

Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much,

Ayesha

I'm also new to Zendesk and can't find anything new on this topic. The support confirmed to me that, in 2025, we still can't easily wrap text around images 🙃.

Would be nice to have some update from Zendesk on this.
