Custom ticket field : How to make "attachment" a mandatory field and change the description of it?

In a certain type of form, I want to 

  1. make "attachment" a mandatory field
  2. change the field title from "attachment" to something else

 

Please kindly guide me on this, thank you!

Hello Debby,

Natively this is unfortunately not possible, but it should possible to do this with some custom coding, which your developers might be able to do.

While I did some further digging into this topic, I have found another workaround that one of our customers is using. They are Requiring a ticket attachment if a particular dropdown option is selected, so this could be an option for you.

Hey, 

please include this as a native feature. We have a Zendesk form that we are using as a bug report form. Some users don't upload or forget to upload attachments, which is most of the time necessary in order to identify the reported bug. Doing the workaround doesn't give me the confidence that it won't bring any complications in the future due to updates, for example.
