API chats - Unauthorized access

Dear all, I'm trying to use REST API chats with the

URL : https://www.zopim.com/api/v2/chats

but the API responds with :

{
"error": "Unauthorized",
"description": "The server could not verify that you are authorized to access the requested resource"
}

I've tryed both with :

  • Basic Auth : using mail and password of an admin account
  • Bearer token : using an Oauth client secret generate by Zendesk admin center

It feels like credentials provided cannot usi chats api.

Have you ever had the same issue ?

      Hi Fabio,
       
      For Chat, you must create the OAuth client from the Chat dashboard rather than Support admin settings.  Check out our tutorial for generating an OAuth token for Chat.
