Images broken in Follow email notifications

We have a closed help center so when signed-in users subscribe to a section, the images are not linked in the email notification that is sent out as we add new articles to our knowledge base. 

This is the expected Zendesk behaviour: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408824620698-Inserting-images-in-articles-and-content-blocks

Having broken links in our Follow email messages lessens their value. Is there any plan to improve this feature?

I assume you are using Gmail as your mail client. Google has a proxy in front of all the links in emails as a security measure, recently they changed it so it blocks the links to the article images. We have a solution for that and we'll launch it soon.
