Ceased development of Sell

I was told by your CS that the product team have ceased to further develop on ZD Sell. Why is this and will the development on Sell be picked up again in the future?

Thanks for the question, Christian. Zendesk Sell is still very much a popular and active part of our portfolio. We've been hard at work bringing the Zendesk Sell technology into our Zendesk Suite infrastructure so we can take advantage of the Zendesk platform and enhance customer experiences with Zendesk AI, including our bots and automation features.

I've heard the same rumor.. seriously hope that this is not the case, because there is still a lot to improve when looking at basic CRM stuff !

Hi Remco, Thanks for your reply. Bots and automation features aren't my main focus as of now - it's more some of the basic CRM features that I have been used to from Hubspot.
You mention 'bringing the Sell technology into our Zendesk Suite infrastructure'. I've seen some places where Sell was mentioned as 'legacy' - was Sell not initially built along with the rest of the ZD Suite? Just trying to understand where Sell is positioned to you as it to us is the key Zendesk solution that we utilise.
Also, I would consider aligning with your CS so they don't make more customers unnecessarily worried - in case you are in fact actively developing on Sell.

Dear Jonathan,
As also Christian was mentioning, we are not waiting for bots and automation features. We would like you to fix the basic stuff!
We have reported several improvements which were reported as 'Voice of the customer' to be placed on the roadmap. Looking at your weekly product updates, it seems there is no development for Sell at all. Could you, at least, confirm or deny that?
