Web Widget Contact Form: Allow Regex, Date and Multi-select Fields
The contact form in the Web Widget doesn't allow for certain custom ticket fields. Regex fields, date fields and multi-select fields are not shown when using custom ticket fields with the Web Widget.
There are three main problems with this inconsistency:
- Tickets / ticket fields vary according to the channel used. (--> confusion situations for agents and end-users)
- Mandatory information is not requested. (--> affects FCR)
- Certain Forms are rendered meaningless due to lack of information
Would it please be possible to add this to your backlog?

Thanks for the feedback Kevin. Supporting additional field types is already in the backlog and something we've wanted to do for a while, just haven't been able to prioritize yet so no ETA at this stage. Here's a related thread on this topic.

Also when I add a multi-select and data ticket fields Zendesk doesn't note me that are not visible on web widget!
We absolutely need these features on ours web widgets.
How can it be that I can't show a date field in the widget? That screws up any prioritisation rule you would create? Doesn't make any sense to me...

According to this thread, it has been 3 years since we last got an update from Zendesk in regards to these fields for the web widget, do we have an ETA or any relevant update?

It would be nice to write/explain in the field creation interface that it is not possible to add this kind of fields (date, multiple selection, regex) in the web widget. We have to do it to know it..
