Require CAPTCHA verification before users can submit a form through the Web Widget.

The company I work for is interested in adding Zendesk's Web Widget to their official website. Being an extremely security-conscious company, however, I cannot move forward with the Web Widget installation until CAPTCHA verification is required for users to successfully submit a form through the Web Widget.

I have enabled the Require CAPTCHA setting (Admin home > Settings > Customers > Settings > Require CAPTCHA), but this setting only applies to the Submit a request Help Center platform. I need this setting to also apply to any forms submitted through the Web Widget's Leave a message platform.

I've included some screenshots relevant to this issue directly below.

I'm 100% in support of this and am surprised it's not been actioned long ago. We operate our own 'ask a question' system at the moment and the addition of a captcha would be essential to us port over to the widget.

I agree. 100% required.

We actually don't see an option to enable CAPTCHA even on our web forms. Has this been removed?

Hi Syd,

For web forms, CAPTCHA was made always-on by Zendesk last year (this post was from 2019, before that happened): Announcing always-on CAPTCHA for bot prevention

Dave Dyson (gmail) it seems that page had gone missing or I have no access.

We need a CAPTCHA, we can't switch it on, but also we don't see it on the 'new request' form, neither ANY helpful information in the forums. Does a helper needs to be integrated? Where's the How-to?

Any help appreciated

Oliver

Hi Ariya,

Yes, the CAPCHA settings were removed a while back -- here's the current info on when users are presented with a CAPTCHA: About help center spam prevention
