Counting Votes on the Posts listing

When you look at the vote count on the post listing, the count only includes the votes for the original post. It does not include votes on the comments of the post.

It seems like the count should include the votes from the comments. Very often, people are upvoting/downvoting comments and not the original post, which was a basic question.

Is there a way to control how the votes are counted?

    Hey Leslie, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. This has been logged for our PM team to review however, I do want to note that this is not currently a feature available in Gather, there is not a way to control how the votes are counted. Thank you again for your feedback!

    Thank you, Shawna James. I know PM teams like to have the full story. Specifically, I am looking for the vote count on the post list to include votes from the comments. Currently, the vote count is only for the original post: it does not include comments. If the vote count was changed to include votes on comments that would help community members get a better indication of the engagement for a post, possibly encouraging more engagement, but - at a minimum - providing the information the member needs to decide whether or not to click on that post. 

    If there is some way for me to upvote this enhancement, I would be happy to do that.
