Changing the answerbot avatar

    Totally agree. For companies wanting to build a personalized approach, we need to be able to add real faces or brand icons to build the brand image and ensure trust.

    We cannot enable any Zendesk bot due to this avatar restriction - therefore we are stuck using custom scripts to hack the widget, and putting desired projects on hold until this is available. 
    Is there any timeframe available for this much requested and surely rather simple enhancement?

    I agree.  We have a Bot with a distinct personality who is our company mascot and we should easily be able to use his avatar.  The existing avatar is soulless and the color clashes horribly with the rest of the messaging window that was carefully styled.

    What is the timeframe for this necessary function to be added to Messaging?

    Any update on this issue? It seems puzzling that a feature this common still has no progress.

    Agree with Mike! This is such a simple feature available on other platforms. Zendesk is surprisingly behind on some common features like this that you would expect to have.

    I would also find this a great feature. My branding department wants to be able to change the answerbot avatar to our custom logo for the company chat bot.

    Zendesk, PLEASE change this. It seems like this issue has been raised since long time ago. It wouldn't take too much of developer's time to update this feature. The current icon looks absolutely soul-less and has no meaning to it. From a brand and marketing perspective, this is one big reason not to use this service. This is the first icon that every customer encounters when they face the web widget.
