Search result is not output following weight

According to this article (About help center end user search – Zendesk help), search result is output by weight.

The weight is below.

 Title : 3

 Labels : 2.8

 Body : 1

However, even if I search by label text, articles with labels will not come up in the top rankings. Instead, the article having label text in body was displayed at the top.

Is there anyone who know how to solve it?

Hi Elaine,

Thank you for your response.

Do you mean there is setting to set weight for title, labels and body.

If so, could you please teach me where the setting is?

Hi Nakai,

It seems that even though label text is given a high weight in the search settings, articles with label text aren't appearing at the top of the search results. Instead, articles containing label text in their body are being displayed first.

To address this:
  1. Double-check the settings to ensure the assigned weights for Titles, Labels, and Body are correct.
  2. Verify if the search engine is properly using and ranking label text in the search results.
  3. Test different label texts to see how they affect the search results.
  4. Consider reaching out to Zendesk Support for further assistance in resolving this issue.
