How do I exclude a help center page from being indexed?

How can I prevent Google from indexing specific help center articles? I do not want to index my content.

Answer

Multiple ways will remove help center content from external search engine results, such as Google.

• Add a no-index tag to the help center theme to prevent all pages from being indexed and appearing in search results, rather than only one page
• You can also restrict specific articles to signed-in users with user segments
  • Any articles that require a login are not indexed by Google

Note: Zendesk does not control the crawling bots and update cadence of external search engines. A delay might apply if you intend to remove content.
