I am using the Zendesk Agent Workspace and I want to create Chat-only agents for my account. Can I do this?
Answer
Chat-only agents are not supported in Agent Workspace. In the Zendesk Agent Workspace, light agents cannot access chats. You need a full agent license.
Note: Chat-only agent is a custom role for agents who provide live chat support with Zendesk Chat but don't have regular agent permissions in Zendesk Support. This role is deprecated.

That's a wrong limitation for Zendesk Support and Chat. The Workspace is a better way than before for the agent to work, but the chat-only agents have to work in the old mode, and it requires the support to give up the workspace to go back to the old version of support.
