How are promoted articles sorted on the home page of the help center?
Answer
The help center uses the method of absolute positional order. Promoted articles are sorted by the following three factors:
- The first factor is the position of the Category that the promoted article resides
- Next, by the position of the Section that the promoted article resides
- Lastly, by the position of the Article in its Section
The best way to visualize this will be to go to your Help Center > Articles > Arrange articles > expand each of the Categories and Sections. This shows how promoted articles are listed, top to bottom.
