Question
Why isn't my Web Widget (Classic) appearing in the help center, despite enabling the Add to help center setting?
Answer
When using the Add to help center setting to activate the Web Widget (Classic) in your help center, SSL is required.
If you have selected this option and the Web Widget (Classic) is not rendering, you will want to check the browser console for the Help Center to see if there is a ERR_INSECURE_RESPONSE
error being displayed. If you see the ERR_INSECURE_RESPONSE
error, it is likely that you do not currently have SSL setup. You will be able to tell if you have SSL in place if you see https at the beginning of your URL.
If you do not see this, you can enable a Zendesk Provisioned SSL following the steps outlined in the article provided. Once your SSL is provisioned, your Web Widget (Classic) will be displayed on your Help Center as desired. For more information on setting up the Web Widget (Classic), see Adding Web Widget (Classic) to your website or help center.
