My sales team always forgets to upload a signed contract to the CRM which means a lot of wasted time on follow-up with the correct individuals. How can I create a reminder that notifies deal owners to upload a contract once the deal is won?
Answer
You can create automated task actions in Sell to perform actions during key milestones on your sales process. In this example, the automated task will notify the owner of the deal every time a deal moved to the last stage of the sales pipeline.
To create this workflow
- Create a new automated task action.
- Under Specify the trigger event for new action, select:
- Deal stage move | Won
- Click Continue to Event Actions. Under Create task:

Upload the signed contract

Assignment | Deal owner
As the goal is to notify the deal owner immediately when the stage changes, do not add a due date.

- Select Activate Automated Action.
After you activated the automated action, you can see a list of automated actions in your Sell account. If you want to set up multiple actions for a deal stage move, stay organized by editing the original automated action and click Create task.
