Issue symptoms

I can't integrate Jira and Zendesk Support at the account verification step. The Zendesk subdomain is pre-filled, not editable, and does not show the preferred Zendesk Support instance.

Conditions

  • The Jira instance you want to integrate is a copy of another Jira instance already integrated with a different Zendesk Support instance
  • You uninstall the add-on and then reinstall it, but the problem persists

Resolution steps

  • In the home directory of the Jira instance you want to integrate, rename the file zendesk_plugin.properties
    • Rename it to a different file name, such as: zendesk_plugin.properties.bak
    • A reinstall creates a new zendesk_plugin.properties file
  • Uninstall the Jira add-on, then reinstall it. For more information, see Connecting your Jira instance to Zendesk.
