Turned off Community in settings - still shows up in Help Center

Answered

I followed instructions to remove Community from my company's Help Center page, and the Community elements and pages still show up. How do I remove them?

Hi there! When you disable Gather within the Guide settings, it will make the Community portion not visible for end-users in the live version of your Help Center. For agents and Guide managers it will still be visible while editing, in the event you'd like to re-activate again.

To remove the Community entirely, would require customizations to your theme. Outlined here. Hope that helps!

Shannon Kertis could you please correct the link to remove Community, the one provided in your post results into 404

Hey Anton,

Looks like that article is no longer available. You'll want to navigate to our Guide Theme settings and edit your theme code to remove the following code as shown in the screenshot below:

You can find it in the header.hbs file which should then remove the community link for agents and admins as well.

I hope this helps!

Hi! When following these guides and disabling my community, it still shows to the end user.

Hi Joe,

We have accessed your Guide portal anonymously, meaning an end user point of view, and we can confirm that the community link is not visible on your home page.

For reference, please see below screenshot:

Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies on your browser as described in this article

As mentioned in this article: Disabling your help center community

“When disabled, the community is still visible to you when you preview your theme as an admin or agent  (see Previewing your theme). This enables you to prepare the community template in your theme and preview it before enabling the community for users.”

I hope this helps you. Thank you!

Hello, I am also looking for an option to remove the Community entirely from the Copenhagen theme, but it's still visible to the end user. We currently have another theme displayed but are preparing Copenhagen accordingly. Can you help?
