Web Widget improvement
Answered
Posted Jun 22, 2021
Hello,
I'm looking to change two things that don't make sense to me on the Web Widget.
1 / When the Web Widget is displayed in full screen on mobile, I think it would be better to change this icon. More understandable.
2 / Also on mobile, I would like to add an "OK" or "Search" button, something like that, in the search bar. Few people are familiar with having to press the "Return" key on their smartphone keypad to validate a form. When I watch my visitors sessions with HotJar, I have approximately 20% of people typing their search but failing to validate the form ...
Guess it is not possible to achieve this with custom code? Don't you think these are good ideas?
Thanks.

HI,
+1 for this - particularly point 1.
Cusotmising the hide button would be great - on mobile devices, it can be difficult to tell that you can close the widget.

Would love this - Made a post that relates to it. Messaging is broken on too many mobile stores it seems. Have yet to see any support from Zendesk

Hello everyone! Thank you for your patience and for sharing your invaluable feedback.
We fully understand your request. At this time, however, we are unable to commit to prioritizing this for the Web Widget (Classic). However, in our ongoing effort to enhance the Zendesk Web Widget, we've captured your feedback and added it to our backlog. This means that we will think about adding it as a priority later in our planning cycle. We are going to leave this post open for comment to allow others to provide their feedback and use cases, however please note, that as per our Community Guidelines, we cannot commit to implementing every feedback item we receive, but we greatly value your input.
Thank you for your understanding and your partnership with Zendesk.
Best Wishes,
Anastasiya
