I do not believe it is possible to prevent Agents from editing their own email addresses. The option to do this only applies to end users and not Agents.

Thank you for the quick response, Graeme! Wishful thinking 😉

+1 we definitly need this restriction. We use SSO and when Agents change their emails, it impacts how they login and creates another account. We are going through a reorg and so we have 500 Agents changing their emails.

Is this restriction being considered as a future enhancement? Having agents able to change their emails, creates conflict with our security model and the SSO we have in place.
What would be the best option to request this type of enhancement?

We had an Agent accidentally swap their primary email with an End User's email, and Zendesk has no way to prevent this action? That End User could have changed the login password and gained access to our system before we even realized this Agent had switched their email address by mistake. This is a huge security flaw, and I hope Zendesk will correct this asap. As Admins, we set up the Agent's accounts, so why can't we control their ability to change their primary email?

I am chiming in here again as this is a need. An agent should never change their email address on their profile - Admins are the only ones that can onboard and so they set them up a certain way. We have third party platforms that are also tied to their primary address so if they change it, they lose access to Zendesk and to the apps they are accessing. It is a oversight that they can make this change without authorization
Can we get ZD to look at this?
