Multi-select field cannot be added to the web widget

I can see from previous posts that this issue unfortunately goes way back and that it doesn't seem like there is a solution on the way. That's a shame!

Not being able to add multi-select fields to the web widget has become a huge problem for us. We have had to make a workaround but are not happy with the result at all. 

We needed to include two multi-select fields, with this the form in the web widget would have been user friendly, clean and efficient. Now the result is the complete opposite.

Agreed. The multi-select field allows us to create distinct triggers for different departments in our team. The bulk of our inbound traffic comes from the web widget form and is now not able to be properly sorted, making a lot more work for our team. We have tried to work around with other fields but the triggers are still sloppy without multi-select in the web widget.

++ it's weird not having multi-select entry in the web widget but it is available under submit a request form. It would be helpful if the option is added.
