Side Conversations - Microsoft Teams Integration

At present side conversations (Collaboration add on) only supports email and Slack. We use Microsoft Teams and would love the same basic functionality as we can see with Slack. Please make this happen.

Side Conversations for Teams is still being worked through and we're hoping to have a release of Side Conversations for Teams later in in Q3 of 2022.

We also use MS Teams as our internal chat app and would benefit greatly from side conversation integration into it.

I'm very interested in this too.  Has anyone tried using triggers or Power Automate to receive from the side conversation and then have the end-user respond via teams back into Zendesk?

@... - I have tried using Power Automate but not for side conversations, just ticket updates. I have found sometimes it doesn't always hit the Power Automate service. I am not sure if it is still in preview and they are still working out the kinks.

Thanks for your post and feedback on MS Teams. We currently have an existing integration with Teams (see more information here https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003096327-Microsoft-Setting-up-the-Microsoft-Teams-Zendesk-Support-Integration).

We are looking to bring Side Conversations into the Teams integration but don't have a committed date at this current time.

Yes, we are reviewing our integrations at the moment to ensure we're prioritising ones that will provide the most value to our customers during the pandemic, of which MS Teams is one.

Same here. We also spoke with our CSM and AM. In the light of the Covid19 and increased need for collaboration, can this enhancement request be prioritized higher up? A significant number of very large organizations are leveraging Ms Teams and need this.

Unfortunately we don't have an update at this point. We've received a lot of feedback about the MS teams integration but unfortunately we don't have a timeline for this feature and some of the other requested features will be available.

bad news, Teams is used more than mails or Slack today...

I can only agree with everyone else here in the thread, the integration with Teams is absolutely necessary for us to be able to work with Zendesk fully and that we get value for the service.

For our use case, we'd like both to be able to post side conversation updates to channels as well as individuals. Either one or both would bring value to us.

The key for our use case is, the recipient most often does not have a Zendesk user account, just a MS Teams account. For this to be useful to use, the notifications and replies should not require the participants using MS Teams to have a Zendesk account (in the same manner recipient on side-conversations using email and Slack - I think - doesn't need Zendesk accounts to get notifications and to reply back to the side conversation).

Looking forward to a teams integration with side conversations, internally we receive much faster responses from our colleagues when communicating to them on teams, it has become our main internal collaboration tool since the pandemic started and the email functionality in side conversations needs a lot of improvement. Please implement this soon

Adding our voice to the choir. Being able to use Teams in Side Conversations would be a huge benefit for us.

We already tried adding the email address of a Teams channel as the recipient in Side Conversations. Unfortunately, replies to the conversation remain within Teams.

Perhaps it is Microsoft Teams not playing nice?

How is everyone else working around this roadblock?

We have recently migrated from Slack to MS Teams and this is one aspect we haven't been able to nail in the migration.
