Enable dynamic content in the email template
Posted Dec 18, 2016
Enabling dynamic content in the email template would enable us to use the same template for RTL and LTR languages instead of hard-coding it into every single trigger that sends mail (dozens of them.)
We could create tokens for direction and alignment and change them to rtl/ltr and right/left according to the language.

[Referring to Zendesk Sell > Settings > Sequences and placing dynamic fields in an inserted hyperlink while modifying an e-mail template]
Hello everyone,
I am not certain this is the correct thread, but I really believe either:
- a new object needs to be created for inserting dynamic/composed hyperlinks in the e-mail template editor
- or we need the ability to switch from the current e-mail editor to a technical HTML editor (depending how Zendesk is interpreting e-mails templates when processing outbound e-mails.
As it stands, currently the hyperlink insertion tool does not accept the dynamic field such as {{e-mail}}.
My current requirement is the ability to make use of dynamic fields such as the e-mail, first name, last name, company name and insert them into a dynamic hyperlink that is displayed in the e-mail as a simple text such as “Click here” in order for this information can be passed to the external website to customize customer experience.
Let’s say we make a campaign asking leads to fill out a survey on Typeform.
Typeform does accept what they call ‘hidden fields’ that are in the URL in order the customize the survey.
The only solution I found was to type in the URL as a text and include the fields while removing the spaces in between, while keeping this composed URL in FULL VIEW:
https://xxxxxxxx.typeform.com/xxxxxxxx#email={{e-mail}}
This would make it much better to be able to hide the entire composed URL text if we were able to insert a URL that accept dynamic fields.
I hope this is the current thread for this issue.
With kind regards,
Richard
