Do not redirect to Help Center if languages are hidden

Answered

Posted Sep 14, 2021

We're launching two new languages (Polish and Dutch) in 3 weeks and we're working on the preparation. We have already added these languages to Guide but we have hidden them from the language menu until we launch. The problem is that we did a test today in Poland and, when the user goes to the Help Center from the site, it automatically loads it in Polish (which, again, is still not ready). How can we make sure that users see the Help Center in the same language of the site or simply avoid loading these new languages until we're live?

Hey, make sure,  you set the default language English or other. I think something is in your language setting.

Hi, did you add the HC URL with anchor tag like this?

<a href="https://HELP-CENTRE-URL.com/hc/en-us"> Help </a>

Hi @Ruth Koch, you have been embed your help centre to your website, you can do one thing to restrict the new language loading.

Your website have the link Support or FAQ or Help Centre or anything to go to Help centre, for now, you can directly give them static URL of your help centre in English language like:

<a href="https://HELP-CENTRE-URL.com/hc/en-us"> Help </a>

And when you done with your new stuff you can revert it as it was.

Hope it works.

Thanks
