Scheduling a Zoom Meeting
Answered
Posted Jan 08, 2022
Hi,
We've installed the Zoom integration and applied an API token within Zoom but when we attempt to schedule a Zoom meeting, we receive this error:
Zendesk API Token is not configured. Meeting summary and recording link won't be sent to this ticket. Please ask account admin to configure in this app.
We don't see any other way to configure the app. We can start a Zoom meeting; we just can't schedule one.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Phil

Hey Phil! The Zoom app is created by a third-party developer, Zoom. As with all third-party developed apps, we recommend reaching out to the developers directly for issues related to the app. For your convenience, I've listed their contact info below 😊
Website: https://www.zoom.us/
Email: developer@zoom.us

Thanks Sabra, I'll reach out to Zoom.

Hi,
Zoom Developer Support advised me that this should be addressed by Zendesk Support as the Zendesk API token configuration is on Zendesk's end.
Also, the email I sent to developer@zoom.us went unanswered and I discovered the correct email address for Zoom developers is: developersupport@zoomus.zendesk.com
Thanks,
Phil

When you check the api token's activity (can be found at .zendesk.com/admin/apps-integrations/apis/zendesk-api/activity) do you see that it's being used? If you're using that token in a few places, I'd suggest creating a new one just for the zoom integration so you can monitor the activity. If you're not seeing any activity on it, then that would lead us to believe that Zendesk isn't getting hit and this is something to do with the integration created by Zoom.

I also have this issue. The link from Eric above does not work. Raised a ticket with Zoom using the email from Phil. Raising a ticket also with Zendesk.

I had this same issue, in the end what we had to do is setup our zoom admin with an account in Zendesk then after installing the integration have them log into Zoom. Once that happened the update notification configuration link became available and we were able to apply the newly created api token for zoom to be able to write back the meeting details.
