Theming / Influencing the "Edit My Profile" Pop Up
Posted Feb 16, 2022
Hello
We are using a custom Theme and we care very much about details. For that reason we would like to adjust the pop-up which opens when the user is editing his profile.
Theming
How can certain elements in the form be adjusted to fit our style? How do we apply specific CSS definitions to it, is there an option to make this happen?
For adjusting the colors of the instant search results we use this:
zd-autocomplete-title-multibrand {color: #000000 !important;}
zd-autocomplete-breadcrumbs-multibrand {color: #333333 !important;}
So for this pop-up we thought we could do the same, but the setttings are not being applied, here is an example we tried:
zd-edit-profile-description-label {color: #FF0000 !important;}
SSO Message
We are also using SSO for users to sign in. This results in this really confusing and unnecessary message for the users in the pop-up.
You can only edit the Introduce yourself description in Guide. To change all other info, go to your agent profile.
So we tried overwriting it like this, but again, nothing is applied:
$(".zd-edit-user-sso-notification").text(function () {
return $(this).text().replace("", "TEST");
});

Anybody out there who could help with this? Every single hint is welcome, we are happy to try a few things. Unfortunantely we ran out of ideas ourselves.

Really hoping to get this solved still. Hello Team Zendesk, can you provide any help here?

Hi Patrick,
This part of Help Center is not themeable. We have made this decision to ensure that the experience and capabilities of end users is not broken by a mistake in the theme.

@... Thanks for your reply.
I don't agree with you, the experience for the enduser is catastrophic, why would you ever send an end-user to an agent profile? Please re-consider adjusting that message at least, it makes no sense.

Hi Patrick,
But the message you're seeing is only shown to agent users. If you're an end user, you will see something different: The option to edit your contact details right there in the dialog.

Thanks again @... for the immediate answer!
OK, then I need to check this with our team. We are using Single Sign On, I do have an Agent Account as well as a User Account and I see the same message for both. Will let you know as soon as I know more.

You were right, the message is different, I was just wrong assuming that my second account is and enduser-account, sorry for that.
We'd still love to see basic theeming for this popup since it now does not match the rest of our page at all. Maybe something to consider in the future.
Thanks for your help!
