Feature request: Allow for bulk updating of macro groups/content

We have 1300 macros we need to update to add another group who can view it, but I just learned with Support that bulk updates aren't possible. Even with API, the only thing that can be updated is the position, not anything else about the macros.
Manually updating that many macros is going to take an enormous amount of time, so please consider this feature!

Thank you everyone for continuing to share your needs for this. Unfortunately, this is not on our current roadmap, so I will mark the status of this as Not Planned for now. The best alternative we can offer right now is some of the marketplace apps which solve for this need.
Better management of macros though is something we'd like to prioritize in the future, and the more customer demand for it, the more likely that is. We do have a lot of awesome product enhancements planned for 2024, and if you're not already following our what's new section I recommend you do so to get alerted as we release them.

I'm surprised that this is still in the "Not Planned" status after two years. It's hard to believe that there aren't enough Zendesk users with the same need as ours to bulk update macros. Hopefully, this will be considered at some point in the near future.

We have 1300+ macros that we need to update the Group visibility/access to, clicking one at a time is NOT a good usage of our time.

We have 856 Macros and we want to assign them to QA team to monitor agent activity. This is such a fundamental functionality, can you please prioritize this 1263082331829

既存マクロの一括編集、一括置換、一括挿入等の機能があったら効率的に編集が可能だと思っています。機能開発の検討をよろしくお願いします。

This would be huge for us as well! We just manually created 500+ macros because there's no way to bulk-create them... and now it turns out that we need to edit all 500+ of them to not default to public comments.
It would be FANTASTIC to be able to do this, even with the API. I like using in-Zendesk tools, but if it's always this much of a hassle we might need to look at paying for TextExpander again.
