Custom "text block" field for tickets
Posted Oct 05, 2022
Feature request summary
When creating forms, we're extremely limited in how we can present information to the end-user, as blocks of text providing info or clarification can only be entered as descriptions for certain fields.
Adding a custom field that is simply a block of text (even better: the ability to enter HTML rather than just plain text) would allow us to apply the same conditional logic that we've applied to other fields and decide when and where we want the text block/notice to appear in a form, but would not require us to make what is currently a statement or notice into a field requiring end-user interaction.
Use cases
Certain forms may have associated text or information that must be presented, outside of the context of a specific field.
We are using forms with conditional fields and not every request coming through the form will require additional text to be shown to the customer, but some of the conditional selections will require this.
Impact of limitation or missing feature
The impact of this is that we must either:
1. Create additional forms to accommodate our unique request types.
2. Turn simple "notices" into fields requiring the end-user to click a checkbox when we really just need the text visible to them upon ticket submission.

Yes! Much needed. We have simple tasks like user or email creation requests that aren't handled via the same timelines as regular support requests, and having the ability to add text for these forms to offer additional explanation in the form itself rather than entering a long box of text under a checkbox would be so much better.

+1 We're looking for the same functionality. I need to add some "explainer" text to accompany a field.
If a customer is requesting a replacement item, I need to be able to link them to how to tell whether their item is covered under warranty or not. As it is, I can't hyperlink or add a rich text explainer to help customers figure this out prior to submitting their request.

I need to add explainer text for our agents as to which brand, form, or field that needs to be used/selected.
