Post Title:
Accessibility options
Feature Request Summary:
Zendesk needs to have a variety of accessibility options for Agents to enable/disable for their own use case.
Description/Use Cases:
Accessibility is huge for companies as there are many people that require certain customizations to work effectively. Zendesk needs better options to help make their Zendesk tool easier for anyone to use:
- Dark mode (sliding scale so you can determine how dark they need it)
- Increase font size/bold text
- Zoom options
- Theme adjustments
Business impact of limitation or missing feature:
Without these features Agents have the following alternatives:
- Force dark mode (all or nothing approach and is not optimized for Zendesk)
- Pay for a dark mode app (agents should not need to pay for accessibility options)
- Zoom their browser (condenses Zendesk into a smaller screen)

I agree. We definitely have a need for these items within our org. Also, because these needs are are different from person to person anything implemented in this vein needs to be able to be modified at the agent level. As Sydney said Dark Mode and the variable levels are something agents go looking for but because they are not optimized for Zendesk it creates a bad UX for agents.

This is a fantastic post - I think that Zendesk is in desperate need of modernising the accessibility options available on Zendesk.
Particularly dark mode options and proper text / UI scaling. I personally suffer from poor eyesight and zooming the UI does offer a sufficient solution - as Sydney mentions, this simply causes the UI to become condensed and borderline unusable.

This is sorely needed, there's so much wasted space on the Zendesk page but zooming out does not work correctly especially if you are on a monitor smaller than ~27."
One of the things about dark mode is that the problem I actually have is with contrast, so just having a dark theme doesn't work because there's still not much difference between the colors, especially trying to tell which tab is active.

Add my vote to these features. We are now experiencing more and more customers (governmental organizations, et cetera) who require this support. The lack of support forces us to call out as contrast and font sizing customization as "Not Supported" which puts our deal opportunities at risk.

We need this feature especially, the Ticket Number and Title in the active ticket tab to be displayed in bold letters to be easily identified especially when multiple tickets are opened. Thanks!

Just met with Zendesk. It sounds like they are working on a dark mode so if there are any specifics when it comes to dark mode, please add to this post.
