Change of behaviour: search default sort after clicking a header is asc and used to be desc

Hi all,

There was a change a few weeks ago in search results UI behavior. After clicking the headers, it added to the search line the following:

"order_by:created_at sort:asc"

But in the past, it used to add:order_by:created_at sort:desc

 

Can you please change it back to how it was, or support this request as a possible stronger feature: https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/4520217557018-Default-sort-for-search-results?input_string=Change%20of%20behaviour%20-%20search%20default%20sort

    Hi ROM HIRSH, 

    Thank you for posting this. We recently made a change to the table which had this unintended change. We are currently working to bring the previous default order of sorting back. I will update this post again when it has been fixed.

    It's been more than a month since the issue occurred. It slows down the work and is just really irritating. When is it going to be fixed?

    Hey everyone, thanks for checking back in! I reached out to the PM in charge of this functionality and they informed me that the issue is a bit more complex than they initially thought. This is still actively being investigated and I'll be sure to share an update once we have more information to provide.
