If embedding Zendesk can direct end-user sign-up, password reset and sign-in be prevented?

In the admin centre end-user authentication could both zendesk authentication and external authentication be deselected leaving just messaging JWT based authentication or would this make it open?

    Hi Welly! The Zendesk authentication needs to be enabled as a backup just in case the JWT authentication fails.
