Adjusting the combined rules

Posted May 17, 2024

I appreciate the concept of combined workstreams, but it doesn't meet my current needs.

For example, consider a current combined workstream for Billing and Live Chat:

  • 3 agents in Billing Workstream
  • 2 agents in Live Chat
  • Only 1 agent is in both Workstreams

Ideally, with a combined workstream, it would assign tasks to a single agent who can handle both Billing and Live Chat rather than assigning it to everyone in both workstreams.

Same for us. The concept of combined work streams is great, but we need more control. When generating schedules we need to be able to dictate which workstream to utilize and add the combined workstreams for the respective shifts where agents are required to handle another queue instead of Tymeshift forcing shifts

Hello Steffi! 😊

Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention! I'm happy to let you know that I've opened a ticket for you to help us look into this further and provide you with the best assistance possible.

Feel free to keep an eye on the ticket, as I'll be communicating with you there!

Kind Regards,

Hi, I support what's been said. It'd be best either to give us more control over who's assigned to the combined workstream or assign only the people who are assigned to all the standard workstreams in the combined one as well.

This is a current issue we're facing with figuring out how we could combine workstreams within the limitations but the different expectations for different teams paired with the number of workstreams limits is causing issues.
