scheduling emails and texts

Publicado 04 oct 2021

Hi. It would be great if I could schedule emails and texts for future send dates and times. For example, I work with others in a different time  zone. It's not always appropriate to receive a work email or text at 6am. These are often overlooked.

Moreover, as WFH is now the usual, work schedules have changed. A work text is never appropriate at 11pm, although this may be my most productive time.

This will be a great feature that can alleviate much wasted time and reminders.

Hi Donna,

Thank you very much for your feedback, and sorry for the late answer.

I would love to learn a bit more about your use case: could you tell me what are you using the texts for and for what type of communication, it is your preferred channel?

I'm asking because I want to make sure that when we work on texts improvements, we take into account your needs.

Best,

Kat

Hi, Kat. We use texts and emails to contact potential clients. We are trying to use Sell for all our needs. We are experimenting with both Texts AND email and use both.

These are the main platforms we use for all communication for potential and current  clients. I'm looking for a way for compose either format, text or email, and schedule this to be delivered at a future time. This would be both a mass and individual send. Thank you.

Thank you Donna for clarification.

Hi Donna!

If we got you right, you can install a Proactive Campaigns add-on for these purposes. It allows scheduling both emails and texts to send them in bulk and also individually.

I second this. Sometimes it would be better for the email to be sent at 8am the next day instead of at 10pm when I'm writing the email.

Piggybacking on this post. I'd love to see this feature as we have to reach out to customers in different time zones so it would be great to schedule SMS, and Email like GMAIL does. It would be very beneficial for our reps to schedule responses so we don't email/sms at inconvenient times.

Hello. Do we have any updates on this? We would also find very useful to be able to schedule the Emails that we send to our clients through Zendesk, instead of sending them right away. Not in bulk (we have Proactive Campaigns installed), but individually inside each thread. Thank you!

Bumping Carlota's request.

Bumping this feature request, it would be great to schedule emails to go out during office hrs, to manage client expectations.

Our team primarily sends bulk sms blasts and would like the ability to schedule them in advance. I've met with someone from Growthdot to talk through the Proactive Campaigns app. He was unable to confirm whether or not their app would recognize if someone had previously opted out of SMS messages.

Can you explain how that functionality works? From my understanding, there is no visible tag on the user's profile.

Hi Diana,

Unfortunately, we don't have a direct way to provide a list of users that have opted-out of messages. You will need to contact our support directly for us to work with our partner provider to get the list.

This is definitely a neat feature to have especially for someone with a similar use case.

Zenny Desk Bumping this request.
As we start to use Zendesk, our team has agents providing 24/7 support in different time zones. To ensure timely responses to non-urgent requests, we schedule messages to be sent to end-users during their business hours in their respective time zones. It is a useful tool to ensure we remain in compliance and are not disturbing end-users at all hours.

This would be really useful for us too
