502 Error - Creating Ticket with Gravity Forms

Publication le 26 août 2022

Hello All!

I have set up a form with Gravity Forms.  I am using Gravity Forms Zendesk Plugin from CRM Perks to submit it as a ticket to Zendesk Support.  The form submission includes 15-20 iPad photos of around 3.5mb each.  Approximately 10% of the time when the form is submitted, the user gets a 502 Bad gateway error.  I am hosting my website on WP engine and they said the following:

AGENT (Syed A.): 5 502 POST /check-out/
AGENT (Syed A.): the page /check-out/ is causing a 502 error and is being killed by our Long Process Killer
AGENT (Syed A.): This happens when a page takes longer than 60 seconds to process

USER: i see. that page uploads client photos
USER: could this be because they have slow upload speeds?

AGENT (Syed A.): Not slow but rather they need to reduce the size of the image

USER: copy

AGENT (Syed A.): If it takes longer than 60 seconds, you will receive a 502 error because our server needs to stay efficient. How does it do that? By terminating processes that take longer than 60 seconds to complete. This keeps the server running efficiently
AGENT (Syed A.): Simply reduce the size of the uploaded photo

I can't reduce the size or quantity of the photos.  Anybody have a clever idea?

Thanks
