API to open a specific flow within Web Widget Answer Bot
投稿日時:2024年3月06日
We have some blocks within guide and our site that use the native ZD API feature to open "onclick". We'd love the option to start the bot upon opening to a specific answer within our bot. We love some of the dynamic carousels and flows we've built and want to use APIs to link customers to these useful flows by clicking links within our sites.

A ticket would need to be created for the context of the page to be stored as a tag for reference in the messaging bot flow. Since no ticket would be created in the example you listed above, this workflow will not work for your use-case and I’m not aware of any other methods that will fulfill your exact requirements. That said, I’d encourage you to create a feature request post in our feedback forums so our product team will have more visibility of your use-case. Here’s a link that’ll help get you started

Feel free to reach out with any questions.

It doesn't appear to be exactly what were looking for. So, I am sharing an image below. The "Accessories and Parts" block on the left can be clicked which will open the web widget. I would like it to open the web widget but also proactively start the "Genuine Part Finder" answer without the customer having to do anything but click the block link on the left. Hopefully this helps.

I'll simplify this a bit more.
We have a Web Widget and Conversation bot in our help center using Guide. We want to have a link that can be clicked by a customer that will open the web widget and automatically start the web widget with a specific bot answer that we have created.
I was able to get the widget to open upon clicking the link but it does not allow me to start the widget with a specific bot answer. Hopefully this helps.

Hey, Justin!
Sorry, I'm not quite following what you're looking to do here. Would you mind sharing the workflow in a bit more detail so I can suggest some options.
Thanks!
