This is a huge issue for me, as someone who works with Zendesk all day, every day for work, as I have a light-sensitivity issue which makes it hard for me to use the regular versions of most websites.
Luckily most of the programs I use for my work offer dark modes built in. For zome reason Zendesk does not offer this, so with the Chrome extension now being a paid feature, I am no longer able to work comfortably and will need to take extended breaks from using Zendesk, which will no doubt impact my work.
This is something which your team should look into resolving, as I am sure that I am not the only person with special needs who will be impacted by this change, and when building/providing a service, accessibility should always be factored in.
