Can I get my old subdomain back? Can I use an existing domain for my account?
Answer
If your desired subdomain is already in use, you will run into an error message when you try and claim the name.
You cannot use the subdomain if another company is actively using that subdomain. We do not allow two accounts to have the same name because your subdomain is your unique account identifier. However, we will suggest an available subdomain for you to select!
However, if you or a colleague used that subdomain for an expired trial or a canceled account, contact Zendesk Customer Support so we can make the name available after a quick security measure.
Note: To expedite the process, contact us from the email address of the account owner with the old subdomain that you want to be released.
