Issue symptoms

When I try to sign up for a new Zendesk account, I receive an error that states Please enter a valid email address.

Resolution steps

This error often occurs when you try to enter an address with a prefix such as support@, info@, or help@, which aren't allowed. These indicators show that the email is a generic rather than a personal email account. The email address you enter at this stage must be unique to you, as you use this address to sign in to your account.

After you create your account, select a support address that customers can use to contact your support team.
