If I make a call outside of Zendesk, how can I log the call? Do I need to purchase the Voice feature to log a call in my account?
Any Sell user can follow the steps below to log a call in their account.
- Click on the phone number of a lead or contact.
- From the drop-down menu select + Log a call.
- Select a Call Outcome.
(Call outcome options can be customized by an admin in Settings > Voice and Text > Call Outcomes.)
- Add any notes about the call.
- Click Save to log the call or click Do not log to delete the call information and recording.
The Voice feature is not required to log calls in your account. Sales reps can use their own personal phone numbers to complete a call and then manually log the details in the Sell mobile app or on a lead or contact.
Tip: The benefit of the Sell Voice feature is that sales reps can place calls directly from their account and the calls can automatically be recorded and logged. The call summary page will pop up after every call prompting the sales rep to complete this action.
