Question
Are there any things agents won't have access to or be able to do while on a Talk trial?
Answer
There are a few limits imposed on Talk trials otherwise, the functionality is the same. Agents are able to thoroughly test out all the features Talk has to offer during the trial period. For more information, see the blog post: 6 easy steps to trial Zendesk Talk.
Below are the limits imposed during your Talk trial.
- Outbound calls are limited to two minutes and local calling only. At the two-minute mark, the call will end automatically.
- Only one number may be added to Talk trial accounts and cannot be deleted. Additional numbers may be added upon the purchase of Talk.
- Each call made will hear a recording played at the beginning indicating that this is just a trial.
- If you are testing Talk as part of a Zendesk Suite trial then your trial will end after 14 days. If you are already a Zendesk customer and are trialing Talk, your trial will end after 30 days. At that time, choose from one of our Talk plans to keep your number and continue using Talk.

Text messaging is not available for Talk trial accounts - Due to a change in US telecom regulations, businesses that want to send and receive texts must first register for A2P10DLC, otherwise all texts will be blocked (see, What is A2P10DLC?). The current processing time for A2P10DLC registration takes 6-7 weeks. As Zendesk Suite trials are only 14 days in length, we no longer offer SMS functionality for Zendesk trial customers. Accounts that move to a subscribed state will have full SMS functionality available
