Here's what you'll need to get started
- A Zapier account - To create a Zapier account, follow the steps described in Using Zapier with Sell, or see Create Zendesk Sell leads from new MailChimp subscribers.
- A MailChimp account.
Creating leads from MailChimp subscribers
Using Zapier with MailChimp and Sell, you can automatically add new MailChimp subscribers as leads in Sell.
To create leads
- Sign in to your Zapier account.
- On the Create Zendesk Sell leads from new MailChimp subscribers page, click Try this template.
- Click Choose Trigger, then select the New Subscriber checkbox.
- Click Continue.
- Under New Subscriber > Choose Account, click Connect an Account.
- In the Connect Zapier to your account dialog, enter your MailChimp account sign-in details, then click Log In.
- Confirm the MailChimp account you added is correct, then click Save + Continue.
- Open the Set up Options drop-down menu and click the MailChimp subscriber list.
- Click Continue.
- To test that your MailChimp-Zapier set up is working correctly, click Pull in Samples.
- Pick a sample to set up your Zap, then click Continue.
- Under Action > Choose Action, select Create Lead.
- Click Continue.
- To connect your Sell account, click Connect an Account.
- Enter your details and click Sign In.
- Confirm your Sell account, then click Save + Continue.
- To map the data in MailChimp to the corresponding data in Sell, click Edit Template, then click Continue.
- To confirm that the integration is working properly, click Test This Step.
- To activate your new zap click Finish.
From now on, whenever a new MailChimp subscriber is added, a new lead is automatically created in Sell.
