Issue symptoms
I accidentally deleted an end user and lost all the tickets they created.
Resolution steps
If you deleted an end user without deleting any of their tickets, the tickets should still exist in Zendesk.
To recover a deleted end user's tickets
- Create a custom report.
- Select the Support - Tickets dataset.
- Add Tickets as the Metric.
- In Rows, add Requester name, Ticket ID and Ticket created - Date.
- Filter by Requester name, using the name of your end user.
