Based on your feedback, we’re extending full edit access to legacy custom dashboards through December 31, 2026, and retiring legacy prebuilt dashboards on February 18, 2026, as we continue the transition to the new analytics dashboard builder.
This announcement answers the following questions:
What's changing?
Previously, all legacy custom dashboards were set to become view-only after February 28, 2026. Based on your feedback, we’re extending this deadline through December 31, 2026. You will continue to have full edit access to your legacy dashboards until then.
Last summer, we introduced improved prebuilt dashboards. Legacy prebuilt dashboards, initially set for removal on September 30, 2025, will now be removed on February 18, 2026, after an extended transition period.
Here are more details about the legacy prebuilt dashboard removal:
- All prebuilt dashboards that have a “(legacy)” label in their title will be removed
- The Zendesk Omnichannel and Queues dashboards are consolidated into a single new dashboard titled “Zendesk Omnichannel: Agent productivity and queues”.
- The new prebuilt dashboards will be automatically shared with the same users as the legacy dashboards.
- Any scheduled email deliveries of legacy prebuilt dashboards will be migrated with an equivalent or optimal delivery cadence and configuration.
- Publicly shared links will not be migrated. If you rely on them, please recreate public links in the new prebuilt dashboards.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
We’ve heard from many of you that more time and feature readiness are critical before fully migrating to the new dashboard builder. Several highly requested features, such as global and cascading filters, won’t be available by February 2026. Without this functionality, we recognize that the migration experience would fall short of the high standards you expect.
At the same time, we’re investing in the future of analytics at Zendesk. Following the HyperArc acquisition, we’re bringing advanced AI to Zendesk analytics, including deep data exploration, narrative storytelling, and predictive intelligence. An Early Access Program (EAP) for HyperArc will open in the first half of 2026.
What do I need to do?
Dashboard sharing settings and scheduled email deliveries will be automatically migrated to the new prebuilt dashboards by February 2, 2026. After this date, review your sharing settings and scheduled deliveries on the new dashboards to confirm everything migrated as expected. Also, keep an eye out for updates and an invitation to join the HyperArc EAP to try a new analytics experience.
