Zendesk is excited to announce the launch of three powerful new connectors for action builder: Google Gemini, Gmail, and Google Drive.
This announcement includes the following topics:
What is changing?
With this release, Zendesk continues to expand external action capabilities in action flows, allowing you to automate complex tasks such as sentiment analysis, automated email notifications, and file management, without leaving Zendesk. Specifically, the following connectors and actions are now available:
- Google Gemini: A new action flow connector that allows you to leverage Google Gemini AI to analyze the sentiment, extract keywords from, and summarize text. Additionally, you can send custom prompts to Gemini to categorize tickets automatically.
- Gmail: A new action flow connector that allows you to send outbound emails through Gmail, directly from an action flow. This is ideal for notifying internal teams, such as Sales or Logistics, the moment a specific ticket event occurs.
- Google Drive: A new action flow connector that allows you to automatically search for, create, or organize files and folders in Google Drive.
Additionally, an update to the Google Sheets connector is forthcoming, which allows you to interact with sheets created outside of action flows.
Why is Zendesk making this change?
Zendesk's goal is to create a seamless experience across the platforms you use most. By connecting action builder to additional external systems such as Google Workspace, admins can reduce manual work for agents, improve cross-departmental collaboration, and ensure that data flows seamlessly between Zendesk and your external productivity tools.
What do I need to do?
These connectors are being rolled out to all accounts with access to action flows. For more information, see:
