What is changing?

The Approval Request API now makes it possible to create and monitor approval requests programatically. Previously, approval requests could only be created manually in the Agent Workspace.

Why is Zendesk making this change?

These changes address feedback from Zendesk customers and partners that they need more control over how approval requests are created and reported on. The Approval Requests API lays the foundation for more extensible approval workflows, improved reporting capabilities, and integration possibilities with third-party services. 

What do I need to do?

The Approval Requests API is being rolled out to all accounts with access to approval requests. You can begin using the Approval Requests API immediately. For more information, see Approval Requests API.
