What’s changing?

Starting March 31, 2026, Zendesk is enhancing the protections across our registration and password reset pages to reduce spam attacks and protect our customers. These protections operate quietly in the background and will not interrupt normal use. Only when an interaction requires additional confirmation will a simple, brief checkbox appear. Otherwise no action is required. This update helps prevent automated spam attacks and limits customer impact while preserving a smooth user experience.

Why is Zendesk making this change?

Maintaining a secure user environment is critical to providing trust and reliability. This change helps reduce the impact of spam and malicious automated activity, improving overall platform security. By handling most checks invisibly, the registration and password reset experience remains seamless except in rare cases requiring simple verification.

What do I need to do?

You don’t have to do anything to benefit from this update. The protection is enabled automatically for your account.
