I know there are unique challenges with each browser caching to see theme changes/refresh(es). But, how soon after saving a page, assets or style.css/scripts.js does the server release cache to make it available to the browser?

    Hey David,

I did some digging on my end and there's no specified timeframe for when the changes would show up after you've saved your Guide theme. Best practice would be to refresh your browser page shortly after the page has been saved. The changes should show up immediately afterward. If your experiencing issues with these changes taking a significant amount of time to show up, let me know and I can create a ticket on your behalf to troubleshoot further.

    Cheers!

I'm experiences issues with this in my Help Centers. When I set a theme as the live theme, it shows up correctly on the front end, but the green "Live" token reverts back to the old theme in the Theme browser.

Also after updating a theme in the Theme browser (especially from Github), it often takes a ridiculous amount of time to update on the front end. Sometimes it takes several minutes of refreshing and clearing out browser caches. Sometimes it requires a removal of the theme and a re-add in order for the changes to take place.

    Hey David,

Are you able to replicate this using a different browser? I did some testing on my account using Chrome and changing the live theme worked appropriately. I'm happy to create a ticket on your behalf if this issue continues.

    Let me know!

Brett Bowser - everything is working within reasonable cache rules. I have recently read it can take 5mins for web widget changes to apply depending on what changes are made. Ideally, we could set a no-cache for the web widget while we are developing solutions. But, for now I will rotate browsers for closer to real-time testing and development. Thank you.

I haven't tried to replicate this on different browsers; I'm using Chrome for development.

When I first make the desired theme live, it displays correctly (see below).

However, once I leave the page and return, the "live" designation returns to the old theme (see below), even though the new theme is indeed displaying on the front end as live.

    Hey David,

That's definitely some odd behavior there. I'm going to create a ticket on your behalf so our Customer Advocacy team can look into this.

You'll receive an email shortly stating your ticket has been created.

    Cheers!
