Unsharing a shared email template
For whatever reason, you can always unshare a template with others. For seasonal campaigns for example you might prefer to unshare a template and reuse it again in another campaign rather than deleting it.
To unshare a template with others
- On the Sell sidebar, click Settings (), then go to Customize > Email Templates.
- Click the Templates tab.
- Open the template you want to edit and in the Edit template dialog, deselect the Share with everyone checkbox.
- Click Save.
Deleting an email template
You can delete your personal email templates. However, you must be an admin to delete a shared email template. When you delete a template, it is removed for all users on the account and is unavailable for future use. If it is already used in an email sequence, the sequence will continue to use the template.
To delete an email template
- On the Sell sidebar, click Settings (), then go to Customize > Email Templates.
- Click the Templates tab.
- Click Trashcan () next to the template that you want to delete.
When you delete a template, it is no longer available to select by reps to use for new emails. If the template is currently in use in one or more email sequences, you'll see a warning and information about the sequences that will be affected. However, the sequence will continue to use the template until an admin changes the sequence configuration.
- Click Delete to confirm.
Your template is deleted and no longer appears on the templates page.
